Schedule for you
· The workshops included are Batik workshops (synthetic and natural dyes) on cotton
· All materials are included (cotton textiles until 1 meter long, dyes, wax, parafine, tools for working the entire process)
· If you would like to take a different workshop like on wood, silk, ceramic or ecoprint, it will be considered as extra and you may pay it directly to Mas Hanung.
· Sundays the studio is closed
· The Batik Studio hours are from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Saturday. If you want to stay longer you may but by your own and you just need to turn off the lights and ask permission to Mas Hanung the same day.
· For meals and dinners there are several nice restaurants around that you can go walking. I will give you the names and the directions, and the people in the studio could help you as well.
· The downtown is around 30 min by taxi or moto. I recommend to download an app called gocar o gojek where you can hire taxis and moto- taxis.
· Tips are not mandatory but they are a nice way of saying thanks to the people from the studio.
SUMATRA ORANGUTAN ADVENTURE 4D/3N starting the 20th January
· In Sumatra, the cost of the tour is per person.
· What's included: pick up and drop off from Medan airport to Bukit Lawang and Bukit Lawang to Medan Airport, included breakfast at the guesthouse before starting the trek, the all the permits entrance (national park & guide association), English speaking guide certified from the HPI association, assistant guide, 2 cookers, tropical fruit snack every day, coffee/tea/cookies every day on arrival at the campsite, water refill every day, all the meals, all the camping equipment (tent, mattress, blanket and mosquito net), a way back to Bukit Lawang by tubing (rafting captain, rafting equipment/porter).
· You just have to bring your personal stuff and a bottle of water per person for day 1 (refill at the campsite everyday)
· If you have any food allergies or special diets (veggie or vegan) just let us know and your cooker will adapt your meals
· The tour departs with a minimum of 3 people. Before buying your plane tickets, please consult with me since I need to check with them the departure days that may change according to the month.
· Pick-ups are made between 1 and 3 pm only so make sure your flight arrives between those hours. The transport is shared so you may be asked to wait for the other people that arrive after you.
· From Medan to Bukit Lawang is a 4-5 hour drive.
· The accommodation and meals one day before the tour and they day that the tour ends, is not included. You may find some options of nice homestays through Booking.
